Our staff is a dedicated team highly experienced in complex and technical litigation with just one purpose - serving you. Our real time court reporters are always available when you need them. They are all detail-oriented and possess strong organizational and prioritizing skills. We have one of the largest groups of certified shorthand reporters and legal video specialists in the San Francisco Bay Area and many more throughout California and the United States.

Paula Behmke is the President and Founder of Behmke Reporting and Video Services. She has 26 years experience as a Certified Shorthand Reporter and is licensed in California and New Jersey. Paula is also a licensed member of the National Court Reporter’s Association and has been a pioneer in the introduction of high-quality real time reporting in San Francisco. Established in 1989, Behmke Reporting and Video Services quickly became a leader in the court reporting community and a nationally recognized provider of state-of-the art reporting and video services.

Paula, a 4th generation San Franciscan, is an active member of several professional associations and has sat on the Board of Directors of the Deposition Reporters Association of California. Paula and her husband, Bob, are active volunteers in their community, and they received the “Big Hearts Award” through the Kenwood Education Foundation, which publicly honors those who have made an exceptional contribution of time, resources, and energy to the children of Kenwood and the community-at-large.

Bob Behmke, a Certified Legal Video Specialist and Notary Public, hails from South Jersey. He and Paula founded Behmke Reporting in 1989. Bob began filming videos in 1995, and became a Certified Legal Video Specialist in 1997. Bob has traveled extensively throughout the world from Moscow to Bangkok videotaping depositions. Bob can be found enjoying his family and the great outdoors when not filming depositions.

Matthew Ridge, a Certified Legal Video Specialist and Notary Public, has been employed by Behmke Reporting and Video Services since 1998. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Matt graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree. After moving to San Francisco in 1998 he joined Behmke Reporting as manager of our video department. Matt is also a CLVS as well a Notary Public. In 2000 he moved into the office coordinator position. Since then, Matt has been recruiting reporters and hiring and training videographers and office personnel to help with managing the calendar and producing transcripts. He has also been a panelist for the "I’m a new reporter now what" session at past conventions. When Matt is not in the office or videotaping depositions, he enjoys playing golf, mountain biking, swimming, (and has swum from Alcatraz on 8 different occasions). He and his wife have 2 children.
